In recent years there have been a number of changes to Legislation, Work Cover, and Licensing. Heritage has been diligent in ensuring that we keep pace with the numerous changes to ensure that you – our valued customer is fully protected at all times.

Is the Company properly licensed for the work that they are quoting?

Does the Company have Home Owners Warranty Insurance Eligibility?
Heritage Carports and Awnings have had Home Owners Eligibility since the date that it was introduced in the year 2000.

Does all their paper work conform to the Standards set down by the Office of Fair Trading? (OFT)
Heritage Carports and Awnings take great lengths to ensure full compliance with the OFT regulations with respect to the way our documentation is presented.
Does the Company provide you with the Consumer Building Guide upon signing of contracts and disclose all your rights and responsibilities in one easy to read booklet?
This is a legal requirement of the Home Building Act and the OFT. Upon the signing of any contract, our representative will provide you with a copy of the “Essentials Guide”. This booklet was developed after consultation with a number of focus groups including Customers, Staff and the OFT. It has been developed specifically to help you through the processes involved in your project and includes the documentation that forms the Consumer Building Guide set down by the OFT.
Are the Company and all Employees including Sub Contractors adequately insured for both Public Liability and Workers Compensation?
This is very important. If the company and their employees that you deal with are not adequately insured, you may be exposing you and your family to considerable risk in the event of a serious accident. All Heritage staff and subcontractors are covered for Workers Compensation and Public Liability. No worker is allowed on your site with out proof being provided to Heritage that they hold the relevant insurances to protect both themselves and your family.
